Managing Stress with Herbal Medicine

  • Foggy River Farm 315 Concession 2 Sunderland, Ontario, L0C1H0 Canada (map)

Feel your best this winter with our two-part introductory series all about stress.

About the Workshop
from 20.00

Knowledge is power! Especially when it comes to your own health.  At some point, we all have stress in our lives and everyone has their own coping mechanisms. But do you really understand what happens on a physical level when you're stressed? And did you know that there are some very safe plants that grow in Ontario which help you adapt to stressful times?

We are partnering with Naturopathic Doctor Lynne Racette from True Roots Health Care for a 2-part series to teach you about the physiological side of stress, as well as natural therapies and tools to better manage stress. In this small setting, you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Workshop Part 1 ($20) on Nov 23 at 7pm: Learn about adrenal fatigue, and get to know and taste five adaptogenic herbs (herbs that help you handle stress) that can be grown in Ontario.

Workshop Part 2 ($30) on Dec 7 at 7pm: We'll focus on the nervous system, how it works, and helpful plants called 'nervines'. You'll also get to create your own stress-buster tea blend to take home based on the plants you learn about in this session.

Register for both sessions and save $5. Each session is 90-minutes, limited to 12 participants, and will be hosted at the Foggy River Farm homestead.

Whether you're running full tilt and relying on coffee and alcohol to survive, not sleeping well, feeling anxious, or feeling run-down - this will be applicable to you.

How to Register:

Purchase a ticket online, here, or register in person at the True Roots office (304 Toronto St S #202, Uxbridge, ON L9P 1Y2), or by phoning them at 905-852-2929.
